It finally snowed in Washington! Which ended up freezing over and downing trees, powerlines, and causing all sorts of damage. Seeing as how winter is my favorite season though, you can imagine how excited I was for snow. Right when the first flakes started falling the only thought in my head was to take photos. My cousin, Jessica, went out in the morning with me and then Madison came over to get some photos taken at the nature center. It was a cold, but successful day.

These past couple weeks I was having the hugest urge to take photos, thankfully this past weekend I had plans to hang out with some friends and my cousins! They agreed to model for me and all did wonderful jobs. It was my first time using what little off camera lighting I have, but it was worth the effort of figuring out how to light two people with one light. My cousins were patient and didn’t mind waiting for me to fiddle around with the light. Alex was also a wonderful assistant and a fantastic model the next day when we took a trip to the Adriana Hess Audubon Center. Getting up before sunrise wasn’t too fun, but it was well worth it for the photos we got.

Since the 26th I’ve been frolicking about in Ashland at my best friend’s place and having the time of my life. There are beautiful things everywhere! Even just standing out on the porch and looking at the hills made me want to go out and take photos. It has definitely been an interesting couple of days and I will be missing Ashland and Sydney a lot once I leave, that’s for sure.

I’m working on a big blog post at the moment. Sadly with how busy I am and my limited time spent on the computer I haven’t had much time to put up any little posts. So here’s one with some miscellaneous photos from the past two months. Hopefully it’s enough to hold you over until the big post!

This past month I made the move to Tacoma and don’t regret it in the least bit. With downtown at the waterfront and all the parks there’s so many more interesting places to take photos than in Puyallup. Of course I miss all my friends, but out here I am much closer to family. One of those family members is my cousin, Jessica. Since I moved we have been exploring the city and having all sorts of adventures, which means lots of photos! Thankfully, Jessica doesn’t mind being a model for me.

Also, I’ve been going through a bit of a black and white phase. Just warning you guys.
